Services
The right design help, at the right time.
Truss design is not one-size-fits-all. Some projects need a full submittal package managed end to end. Others need a quick preliminary layout for pricing, or a second set of eyes while the plans are still taking shape. Our services are built around those moments, so you get exactly the help you need, right when you need it.
Submittal Package Preparation
Hand us a plan set and consider it handled. We manage the entire truss design process end to end, from first layout to final approval, so your team can stay focused on production.
-
We take the project from plan set to approved submittal package, handling every layout, design, and revision along the way.
-
We send RFIs, participate in coordination meetings, and work directly with architects, engineers, and your customers to resolve questions quickly.
-
Where plumbing and mechanical systems are specified in the plans, we coordinate the truss design around them so installation is as seamless as possible.
Design for Bid
Bid with confidence. We create preliminary designs for pricing purposes, so your next number is grounded in a real layout instead of a rough guess.
-
We design enough of the project to price it accurately, with lumber and plating that reflect what production will actually require.
-
For large multi-family projects, we typically design a representative portion of the project to establish an applicable cost-per-square-foot number.
-
If you win the bid, the preliminary design becomes the starting point for the full submittal package. None of the work is wasted.
Design for Plan Validation
Before the details are set in stone, we work with architects and engineers in the design-development stage to make sure truss applications are practical and economical.
-
We test whether a truss application will actually work, from spans and depths to bearing conditions, before it becomes a problem in the field.
-
Sometimes validation means testing a single critical truss. Sometimes it means designing an entire layout. We are happy to help in any way we can.
-
Catching impractical details early keeps projects on budget. Small changes on paper save real money in the shop and in the field.
