Get to know the Team!

Tyler Rhodes
Founder/Design Manager

Tyler's home office is in Lynchburg, Virginia. He loves helping people with truss designs because every project is different, and it never gets boring! He grew up around the truss industry and worked as the Design Manager for Quadd Building Systems in Remington, Virginia for 2 years. He is currently pursuing a major in Civil Engineering at Liberty University.

Three Fun facts:

- He likes restaurants that have short menus (2 pages or less).

- He is a big fan of Christopher Nolan movies.

- He knows how to ride a unicycle!

Nathaniel Spoolstra
Designer

Nathaniel has just begun his journey into the engineering world. Despite not having many engineering role models in his personal life, he has always looked at the industry with fascination and curiosity. With the goal of becoming a Civil Engineer one day, truss design has become one of his favorite forms of creation, which he is learning more about every day. Nathaniel currently attends Liberty University and lives in Northern California. 

Fun Facts:

- He owns over 200 Lego sets.

- He has visited almost every state in the US (knocking out Alaska this summer!)

- His favorite way to relax is to design crossword puzzles and watch Marvel movies.

Danny Rhodes
Designer

Danny is working from his home office in Ellicott City, Maryland and he holds a Master's degree in biomedical engineering from Virginia Tech. He used to work in the shop at Quadd Building Systems building wood trusses, and now he is excited to gain a new perspective by designing the trusses instead.

Fun Facts:

- He is a big history nerd, especially when it comes to Roman history. (He is pictured here in front of the Colosseum)

- He really enjoys almost any board game and especially loves chess.

- He likes outdoor adventures such as hiking, camping, and kayaking.
